"Ruin" by Cat Power
Man, was I on a Cat Power kick today or what. And when I heard she had a new song out from her upcoming album, "Sun," I was pretty excited. This song is weirdly upbeat and cheery for her, but I still like it. It will be interesting to see what the rest of the album is like.
"Gila" by Beach House
After listening to their latest album, "Bloom," all day yesterday, I was in the mood for some old(er)-school Beach House. This is probably my favorite song by them ever.
"No One Like You" by Best Coast
I wasn't a fan of their new album, "The Only Place," as a whole, but a few songs did stand out to me. This was one of them.
"How Do You" and "Don't Deny Your Heart" by Hot Chip
You're just lucky enough to get two songs today. I have loved Hot Chip since I was a junior in high school, so I'm really excited for their new album to come...
“Hey Mama” by Kanye West
This song was a complete given for today, as it is every year for Mother’s Day. Or any day, for that matter. (Hope you had a good day, Mom. Love you.)
“One More Try” (originally by George Michael) by Iron and Wine
Anything Iron and Wine, ever, is a-OK in my book. Always.
“Jumanji” by Azealia Banks

“Best Friend by Dent May
What’s going on in this video? I’m not sure either, but it’s weird enough and the song is catchy enough for it to be super...
Sure, I love a good club beat as much as the next person, but I was really into this when I first heard it this morning. Maybe it was all the coffee, but it’s probably because it’s jam-tastic (better words next time).
This was the first thing on my Twitter feed this morning, and I must have listened to it 20 times in a row. As a huge Passion Pit fan (I’ve seen them three times in concert) that kind of lost her enthusiasm as time went...
“Come Near” by Lykke Li
Still obsessing over the new Lykke Li. Can’t stop, won’t stop.
Sometimes I wonder what would have happened if “Freaks and Geeks” had lasted longer than one season (great things, obviously)....
